Fire Pump Accessories

Introduction

In addition to our powerful poolside fire pumps, Poolside Portable Pumps also supplies an array of professional grade fire fighting equipment.

We supply SPEC 187, professional grade fire hose, as fielded on most wildland protection trucks and local municipalities. Threads on our hoses and connections are National Hydrant which marries to the products fielded by fire departments.

Fire retardants

We supply Barricade Gel® which is biodegradable and non-toxic. It is applied through a special applicator. The gel comes four gallons to a case. A typical home in the neighborhood of 2000 square feet, would probably need somewhere between two and three cases of the gel.

We also Class A foam, another fire retardant. This foam is applied using an applicator that we also supply. The applicator is basically a big heavy duty water gun. All of the nozzles and fittings that we supply are NH, National Hydrant. The applicator system is set up with a soap cartridge inside. After inserting the soap cartridge, the applicator is re-threaded back on to the pistol grip shut-off ball valve nozzle. This applicator, as well as the gel applicator, can be used with either one-inch or an inch and half line.

Fire hoses

We carry a multitude of hoses, several manufacturers of the SPEC 187, single jacket, double-jacket municipality hose. All of our pumps come equipped with 100 feet of inch and a half, or inch-line, depending the system that's chosen. Some systems we'll fill with both sizes. The one-inch line is very, very user-friendly and can be moved around a yard with ease.

Nozzles and shut-off valves

All of our systems are set up with professional grade, pistol grip ball shut-off valves.

Our variable nozzle is covered with rubber and could be dropped on a hard surface without damage. Some of our competitors supply plastic nozzles such that when a hose system is fully charged, if it's dropped on the deck, it could easily break

The "Y"s that we use, are all professional grade. It is very easy to take inch and a half lines and reduce to inch lines using these fittings.
